Smoothness (Cycling)

Description:

Pedal smoothness measures how smoothly power is delivered to the pedal throughout the revolution. It is calculated as Pavg / Pmax and is normally displayed as a percentage. A value of 100% means that the power is delivered constantly throughout the revolution. Values of 10–40% are common.
Syntax:

smoothnessleft    <returns Left side average power divided by the peak power across one crank cycle measuring how evenly power was applied throughout all 360 degrees of a left pedal stroke.>

smoothnessright    <returns Left side average power divided by the peak power across one crank cycle measuring how evenly power was applied throughout all 360 degrees of a right pedal stroke.>

smoothness   <returns total smoothness for both left and right pedal stroke.>

Smoothness and smoothness left and right can be used as summary data at the athlete level and metric data at the workout level.
